"Deep Learning" Training Seminar
13:30 – 18:00 Thursday 12 December, Julia House
RISE offers a training seminar on Deep Learning. The training aims to give the basics of a subset of techniques of Machine Learning Algorithm called Deep Learning. It is organized as three presentations: the first gives the mathematical basics needed to understand the processes that happen inside a neural network and show the most common type of networks. The second presentation introduces the concept of recurrent neural network that deals with a sequence of data. The third part focuses on several examples that solve real problems.

Trainer
Daniele Giunchi is a Ph.D. candidate and researcher in Human-Computer Interaction (HCI) and visual perception at UCL.
He's working with Anthony Steed in virtual environments and computer graphics group's research. He developed deep learning models and tried to combine advanced forms of interaction and perception with deep learning algorithms.
He's studying deep reinforcement learning and interested in everything concerning machine learning, data analysis, and data visualization. In the past, he was involved in biomedical/scientific projects and aerospace & defense fields.
